The Humane Party is always building. We welcome volunteers who want to contribute their skills, develop new ones, and help strengthen a growing political movement grounded in veganism and expanded humane ethics.
All positions are volunteer-based. Most work can be completed remotely and with flexible scheduling. Experience is valuable, but commitment, curiosity, and a willingness to learn matter just as much.
Humane Herald Writers & Contributors
Help tell the stories shaping the humane movement.
The Humane Herald welcomes writers interested in news, opinion, advocacy, movement history, interviews, culture, recipes, creative writing, and other topics connected to humane ethics. Contributors may submit individual pieces, write for an existing column, or develop an original recurring feature.
Professional writing experience is not required. Our editorial team can help developing writers strengthen their ideas and prepare their work for publication.

State Developers
Help build the Humane Party in your state.
State Developers serve as local organizers and movement builders. They help identify important state and community issues, connect with aligned organizations, recruit volunteers, and develop a stronger Humane Party presence where they live.
This role is best suited for volunteers interested in consistent involvement, coalition-building, political organizing, and long-term leadership development. State Developers receive access to Humane Party resources and work with national leadership while creating plans appropriate for their own state.
State Events & Outreach Coordinators
Help bring the Humane Party into communities across the country.
State Events & Outreach Coordinators identify opportunities for the Humane Party to participate in festivals, advocacy events, public meetings, educational programs, screenings, demonstrations, and coalition activities. Depending on location and availability, they may also help organize volunteers, coordinate materials, represent the Party at events, and follow up with new contacts.
This role can be adapted to a volunteer’s experience and schedule. Coordinators may focus on an entire state, a region, or their own local community.
Community Outreach Volunteers
Help us build relationships beyond our existing circles.
Community Outreach Volunteers connect the Humane Party with individuals, local organizations, advocacy campaigns, community groups, and potential partners. Volunteers may share information, research local opportunities, attend community events, support petitions, or help introduce people to the Party’s work.
This is a flexible entry-level role for volunteers who want to become involved without immediately taking on a larger leadership position.
News & Trends Scouts
Help us identify the stories and developments that deserve attention.
News & Trends Scouts monitor current events, legislation, political developments, campaigns, and emerging issues related to animals, civil rights, environmental justice, public health, economic fairness, and humane governance.
Scouts submit promising leads to the Humane Party and Humane Herald teams for possible articles, public statements, campaigns, or coalition involvement. This is a flexible role that can be completed from anywhere.
