The Humane Party is a liberation movement, and movements grow when people come together.
Throughout the year, Humane Party members, volunteers, state organizers, candidates, and partners participate in community events, advocacy actions, conferences, meetings, educational programs, and opportunities to connect with people working toward a more humane future.
Some events are organized directly by the Humane Party. Others are opportunities for us to show up, listen, build relationships, support aligned work, and introduce humane politics to new communities.

Annual Humane Party Observances
Several dates hold special significance in Humane Party history and continue to provide opportunities for education, reflection, advocacy, and action.
Civil Rights Day — April 9
The Humane Party established Civil Rights Day to commemorate the Civil Rights Act of 1866 and recognize the continuing work of expanding and protecting civil rights.
Earth Day & Humane Party Anniversary — April 22
The Humane Party launched on Earth Day, April 22, 2009.
Each Earth Day marks another year of building political action around the interconnected well-being of people, other animals, and the ecosystems we share.
World Vegan Day — November 1
World Vegan Day has played an important role throughout Humane Party history, including major candidate and organizational announcements.
It remains an opportunity to recognize veganism as an ethical foundation of humane politics while continuing to explore where those ethics lead us in public policy and political action.
Abolition Day — December 6
The Humane Party established Abolition Day to commemorate ratification of the 13th Amendment and to continue the larger conversation about liberation, exploitation, legal personhood, and the unfinished work of abolition.
Recent Highlights
Black VegFest — New York City | August 2026
Humane Party representatives joined advocates, organizers, creators, businesses, and members of the community at Black VegFest in New York City.
The day offered opportunities to build relationships, introduce people to Humane Party work, support the local vegan community, discuss ongoing advocacy efforts, and strengthen connections for future organizing in New York.
The Humane Party plans to continue expanding its presence at community events like this as state organizing grows.
